Apologies in advance if this question should belong in a different, more general sub-forum. I'm preparing a PhD thesis using LyX, using the classicthesis style, and I'd like to add two features. I'd like to start some (not all) paragraphs with an automatically assigned and auto-updating number, restarting the sequence each chapter (the first image), and generate a so-called analytical table of contents (on top of the ordinary one) containing short descriptions of the numbered sections (second image). I'm confident that this is doable, and in a way that does justice to the typographic beauty of the classicthesis style, but I haven't been able to figure out how. Your help is appreciated.
