As I've been adding to my lyx document for my book, I notice that the time it takes for the PDF preview to load has slowed greatly.
Is the slowing due to the fact that the file size keeps getting larger?
Should I typeset the book in separate sections, and then add them together using the insert-file-child document feature?

PDF preview slowing down big time
This seems more of a LaTeX & PDF viewer question than a LyX question. First, figure out whether it's the LaTeX compiling that's taking a lot longer (most likely) or whether it's your PDF reader that is taking a longer time. If it's the PDF reader, then maybe use a quicker one. If it's the LaTeX compiling, then maybe the LaTeX gurus around here will have some tips for you.insipidtoast wrote:As I've been adding to my lyx document for my book, I notice that the time it takes for the PDF preview to load has slowed greatly.
