I played with the page dimensions. The
\chapter{}
command works well in terms of adjusting the chapter image to the new dimensions, but not the \chapter*{}

. If you make an adjustment to the margins you'll then have to adjust these values to match your new dimensions. I'm not sure why you had \chapter
and \chapter*
