Hello
The project is still at the planning stage, and LaTeX support is one of the core requirements, which is why I'm here. I've never used LaTeX (my academic background is in the humanities) so I'm probably going to be asking a lot of very stupid questions. Apologies in advance!
The project, although not the platform, is going to be launched in a few weeks, at which point I'll be happy to reveal the details to anyone who's interested.

Re: Hello
welcome to the board!
An open source publishing platform for academic journals sounds very interesting. I also guess that LaTeX support is important for journals, at least for some branches of science.
