General ⇒ How to make copy & paste of verse work correctly

Hi,

I have a about 300 poems in Word (mainly 5.1) and I want to convert it all to a new book & use LaTeX with LyX.

In the word doc I have just a para marker at the end of the stanza, and line ends (shift+return) for each line.

I have not found a combination of copy/paste options that either does not loose the line layout (giving justified paragraphs) OR inserting one line for each line (and losing the stanza breaks).

The best soln so far I have thought of is to make a word macro to double each para mark so I can keep the stanzas.

Anyone already solved this?
