classes / packages / templates for concert programme notes

Post by mark.farnell »

I am the secretary of a community orchestra and I am about to type programme note for an upcoming concert to be handed out to the audience.

Are there any document classes, packages and templates for classical concert programme notes?

Thanks!

Mark

Take a look at the TeX Catalogue [1]. It lists some helpful classes and packages. In this case the concprog class seems to be the right one.

Thanks! Would you please put the link to the TeX Catalogue online as a sticky in this forum? I believe many users come here for help to find the correct package to use.

I had a look at the concprog package. It does a very good job in printing the timetable of the concert. However in the concert programme, if I want to have paragraphs to describe each work (and perhaps each movement) and each composer, soloist, orchestra etc and typeset the whole thing in a booklet, what can I do? This package does not seem to have these kind of capabilities.

Thanks!
