emacs ispell

Post by sparx »

Hi,

I don't know if I'm under the right topic or even in the right forum but i hope that I'm close enough.

I have a problem when writing in emacs. I am writing a book with latex and in doing so i have to spell check and usually there are a lot of mistakes. However when i encounter a misspelled word at the end of a sentence and correct it, the dot '.' at the end of the sentence disappears as well.
For example: "The man is waking." and i spell check it, it removes the dot and becomes: "The man is walking"
Is there a fix to this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
