Why does the \equiv not have equal spaces between the lines?

Post by Yue »

I want to make three vertical lines with equal spaces between the lines.
\equiv makes 3 lines but with strange spaces. Can anyone explain it to me? It looks silly.

\equiv seems to me to put equal spaces between the three lines. Does it appear uneven to you when you print it, or just on screen? Try zooming in on it.

If it's still uneven, are you using a non-standard font? Can you post an example of what you mean?
