Formatting Style of Literature-Mark

Post by Uhlmann »

Hello,

i am using LyX together with a BiTeX Database and Natbib inside Lyx. It works fine but i have a problem with the format of the displayed literature-marks. It seems that LyX generates the key for the displayed literature-reference itself. The one i define in bibtex is selectable when I insert a new literature-mark but when i create the pdf another Key is displayed within the Brackets (e.g. [HCL05] instead of [HEER05]). By right-clicking on the mark in lyx I select [#ID]. Can the displayed ID be influenced in any way or do i have to do this inside the Bibtex-file? In addition: I use JabRef to edit my bibtex-file.

A .lyx file and a .bib file with some examples would be helpful.

I uploaded an example where you can see the literature-marks.

The format of "literature mark" in your case is defined by alphadin.bst, so LyX doesn't play any role here. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with .bst files so I cannot help you with that, but maybe others can. Also, you may want to ask about this issue in BibTeX section of this forum because it is possible that people who do not use LyX don't pay attention to LyX related questions. You should export your .lyx file into plain .tex and provide all files you provided here along with your question.
