LyX ⇒ Error when trying to convert to pdf

Hi,

I have a .lyx document that used to translate to a pdf with no problem; I have recently reinstalled my PC and had lyx installed all over again. When I now open the original document, i can view in in the lyx editor, but get the following error when trying to covert to pdf: "No information for exporting the format PDF(pdflatex)".

What's wrong?..

And you certainly have a LaTeX system installed. Make sure that you have the right settings for LyX.

I do have LyX installed.. not sure what you mean by "the right settings for lyx"..

When I open my .lyx file, i get the following error as well (please see attached)..

You have to read more carefully. LyX is nothing without LaTeX as back-end. So make sure that you have a LaTeX system installed. And »right settings« means that LyX must be able to use the installed LaTeX system (the binaries respectively). I can't give more advice because I don't use LyX.
