Hi all,
I’m having different problems with Lyx.
(1) Whenever I make changes to the document, the updates do not show on the pdf file. Even if I click on the pdf icon with round arrow few times and then on the pdf icon. I even tried to go to View --> Update --> pdf but nothing happens. The only way I can get it to update is to close the pdf file and then compile the document again. Is there a solution to this?
(2) How can I back search? Is there away to click on a line in the pdf output and be transferred to the line in Lyx?
(3) How can I change the font in math mode so that the equations look more like Latex? I tried adding \usepackage{amsmath} in the preamble but with no use?
Thanks in advance.

No one has encountered similar problems ?!!

Can you provide a .lyx file for testing purposes? Also, some general infos about LyX version, operating system and (La)TeX installation would be useful.
As for (2), it isn't yet possible AFAIK (but should be in LyX v.2; more infos here).

Re: Problems with Lyx: output update, math font, etc.
Thanks Meho_r,
Actually I'm using Lyx 1.6.5 on a mac pro (Mac OS X). I'm also using
TexShop (ver. 2.33) for my Latex work.
For my current work on Lyx I'm using the beamer class to create a
presentation. However, I noticed that when using the article (AMS) class
and adding the Theorems (AMS-Extended) module, the equations now look more
like Latex. So I think it's the beamer class that does not allow this math
font. I couldn't add the Theorems (AMS-Extended) module, but I could add
the Theorems (AMS) module which doesn't solve the problem.
By the way, how can I upgrade to Lyx 2? Do I need to make a new installation?
Thanks

LyX 2 is still in development phase so you'll probably have to compile it from source. However, I don't know where to obtain the files. You should check out LyX's forum for more infos. Or, wait for beta, which should come out in June (rc in August, and final version in September).
