This recent post asks for help in order to support LaTeX posting in PHP forums. I think that mimetex or mathtex can be used to this purpose. I wonder if they could be made available to the LaTeX Community users. Perhaps it is not so much worthy, since not many questions, if any, concern math in LaTeX. But, anyway, it would be nice that a forum fully dedicated to LaTeX provides LaTeX support to posts.

Thanks for the idea -- I really like it. The problem is, that I would have to modify the forum software (phpBB) to make this work and I really do not have the necessary PHP know-how (and even not the time) to do this.

Perhaps you can get some inspiration from another forum [1]. The supporting module allows typesetting easy mathematical expressions.
