Help with accents - *not* encoding

Post by mmusicante »

Hi,

I have a problem with accents in the editor of TexMaker: When I type any accented character, the same character is repeated before the next character. For example: When I type "´ab" (without the quotes), instead of "áb", I obtain "áab". This happens with all the 2-stroke accented characters.

Can someone enlighten me, please? What I need to configure to obtain the right behavior of the editor?

Thanks,

Martin

Just solved!

I had the Mac OS X 32-bit version on my Macbook Pro.
Installing the 64-bit version solved the problem.
