BibTeX, biblatex and biber ⇒ apacite: ! Undefined control sequence. \@listctr

Hello all,

When I include \usepackage{apacite} I get the following message:

Undefined control sequence.
<argument> \@listctr

l.250 \end{frame}

?

From the many bug I have been experiencing with apacite I guess it is either in the beta stage or an obsolete package. Is there a new option to cite papers in an APA way in beamer?
