Preventing the positioning of figures above each other

Post by steem84 »

Hi;

I think it does not look nice when two figures on one page are positioned above each other. Rather I would like to see one figure at the top of the page and one on the bottom, with the text in between. Is there a way to force LateX to do so (if possible) for the whole document? This would be much more convenient than placing [t!] and [b!] alternately ....

Thanks,

Steven
