New to LaTeX

Post by eiterorm »

Hello world! =P

I'm an electronics student, currently studying in my second year for a master degree in technology. Almost every master thesis where I study, has to be written in LaTeX - and for good reasons. Therefore, I thought it'd be smart to start learning it now, so that I don't have to learn and get used to it all in my fifth year.

In addition, I have some lab reports to write now and then, and I'm quite fed up of using Word to write these. Actually, I have tried to learn LaTeX earlier, but unfortunately I haven't had the time.

I've read a couple of introduction guides to LaTeX, and I've made a few very simple documents. I'm currently using MikTeX and TeXnic Center for my documents.

I registered to this forum because of a problem I couldn't figure out of by reading different articles and forum posts on the internet. As I said, I'm quite new to LaTeX, so please be patient with me. Also, I'd like to say thanks in advance for all the help!

Cheers! =)

Perhaps the archive of the forum has already a solution to your problem. If not, there surely will be some helpful hands.
