\clearpage and figures issue...

Post by lepagano »

Hello all,

Thank you for taking the time to review my issues. It is quite simple really...but yet very difficult to master.

First, I have A LOT of Figures (with subfloats) for my Thesis work. I places these images at the end of each chapter. When I go to view in Adobe, however, I get the "Too many unprocessed subfloats" or something. So, I figured out I need to put a \clearpage within the Lyx document to break things up-and it works... However, this is creating a lot of "clear pages" (blank pages). This won't work when trying to submit this for review. Hence, does anyone have any ideas how I can get around this issue. Please not that pagebreak seems to do the same thing and places the images in weird spots.

Also, another quick question while I have your attention. I was wondering if it is possible to add an image under two subfloats. I have subfloat a and b and I want to put a legend (png image) that corresponds to them both underneath...is it possible? I have tried, but it comes out wacky no matter how I modify it...so has anyone else ever tried to do this before??

Thank you so much for your time. It is greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Lara
