How do I change the margins in my appendix to some thing different than in the rest of my report?
I am writing i the document class "book" with very wide margins, and where new chapters begin half down the page. I would like only the appendix to fill the entire page (top to bottom and left to right).

Not a good idea. But you can try the changepage package.
