I have been using latex for about 3 years now and am starting to get into Beamer for my presentations. I figured this might be a good place to come ideas.

You are right. Here is a good place to ask for specific questions.

Otherwise, the beamer class comes with a complete user guide. You can always refer to it, at least to get yourself started.
