Glossaries Packet, no border available?

Post by sankara »

Hi,

I am trying to get a plain border frame around my glossary, apparently in the old "obsolete" glossary package this was a piece of cake since one could just add the [border=plain] thingy.

Is there any way to create a border around the glossary through the glossaries package or am I bound to figure some exterior way (e.g. through crazy paint skills)?

TIA

sankara

There comes a document called »How to upgrade from glossary.sty« with the glossaries package which you can find via its entry on CTAN. You can also read an article in our Know How Section [1]. I think with that stuff you have all the necessary information for a successful migration.

Hi Thorsten,

In fact I have already skimmed through these sites (glossaries manual; glossaries.pdf from the creators/ctan page) and the only possibility that seems left is that i define a new style. However I still hope somebody may come up with a simple solution.

PS: thanks for the article link, I am going to read through it.

Try one of the following glossary styles:

longborder, longheaderborder, long3colborder, long3colheaderborder, long4colborder, long4colheaderborder, altlong4colborder, altlong4colheaderborder

(or replace "long" with "super")

There's a list of mappings from the old glossary to the new glossaries options in the table Mappings from glossary to glossaries package options.

Hi nict,

thanks for your input, I guess I will stick to one of these styles then.
