Read also the three comments.
I read the post and the three comments, but I still don't see this:

The feature has been added to the official feature list.
Hm, ok ... seems I missunderstood that line. But I thought it would have some weight, as Timo wrote it.

Well ... does anyone know something about a portable version? Would be great for MikTex Portable.

I don't believe that this is the dev's priority right now.
It'll probably be implemented when version 2 is nearing its beta stage.

Hi there. I just wanted to ask for a quick update on the status of portability. In particular, will TeXnicCenter 2.0 come as a portable version?

Thanks, Frits. I actually tried this workaround a while ago but for some reason (that I unfortunately don't remember) I thought it was not a satisfactory solution.

I'd really like to see an honest portable version of TXC. It would make my life much easier.
