Backref for figures

Post by beacon »

I am working on my dissertation and have been advised to put all of my figures at the end of the document (there are over a hundred of them). This is nice for physical reading since the reader can print out the figures separately and refer to them while reading the text. However, for electronic reading, I am using hyperref to link to the figures, but I would also like backrefs from the figure captions back to where they were cited to make it easy to navigate back and forth between the figures and text. I have successfully used the backref package for backreferences in bibliographies, and I would like the exact same behavior with my figures. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks!
