Highlighting parts of equations

Post by Oliver »

Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to highlight parts of equations in LaTeX? For example showing particular symbols in grey boxes.

Help would be appreciated,
Oliver

Hi Oliver,

welcome to the board!
I recommend to use the empheq package for that purpose.

Thank you, I'll give it a try.
Also, TikZ & PGF has been recommended to me.

Hi Oliver,

that's right, TikZ could be useful too. Have a look at this example. There are many more examples with source codes on that great site.

I'm already using TikZ for maths, for example here.
