General ⇒ pdf-express complains about hyperref

In a recent submission to pdf-express, I received an error "Document contains link annotations". A quick google search leads me to believe I just have to remove my use of hyperref. However, I enjoy the intra-document links it creates. Is there not a way to use hyperref but not get the link annotation error?

I think it is not so important what you want but more what the receiver accepts. There should be some demands for submissions listed on the website of this service. Perhaps you will find a hint.
