Changing the style of bibtex harvard notion?

Post by benowar »

Hi,

I am using natbib package with the alphadin style and its working great! however, 2 issues I have:

1. authors that contain hyphens look quite weird in the text. example:

author = Baeza-Yates, R. ; Ribeiro-Neto, B.
resulting notion in text: [BYRN99]

Now, this doesnt make much sense imho, because it looks as if 4 authors would have written this book. But maybe I am wrong and this is the preferred way of displaying the names? Any way of changing this to have something like [Bae99]?

2. is there any way to avoid that bibtex entries get wrapped at the end of line? If often have something like:

.....Foo Bar [BYRN99,
p. 56ff.]

which is hard to read imho.

Thanks,
Ben
