Setting up Lines in the Margins (sample PDF design provided)
I'm new to the forum, and am currently writing a book for a standardized exam. I was wondering if somebody could assist me, I found a neat document (PDF) and there are several features that I want to reproduce but I'm not sure how to do so. I'm virtually positive the PDF was made with Latex, here is a link to the document in question: http://www.scribd.com/doc/7320/Mckinsey
In particular, I'd like to know how to reproduce the following:
1) The Box that alternates from page to page on the edge of the page (black background, white text). It's The Firm for the first 40 or so pages, then it changes to "For Your Reference" towards the end.
2) The 2 lines (one that goes horizontal, the other that goes vertical) (Page 5)
3) The two lines by the page numbers (can this be done with fancyhdr?)
4) The inset quote box (as seen on page 7)-- is this just mbox?
If anyone could assist me with any of those, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!!
