I'm trying to use LaTeX for the first time to write a report for my internship, but I keep getting an error every time I try to compile it.
Command Line: texify.exe --pdf "C:\NicholasDataTransfer\MyDocuments\MyDocuments2\PSUREU\LaTeXforREUhelpfile.tex"
Startup Folder: C:\NicholasDataTransfer\MyDocuments\MyDocuments2\PSUREU
Error Launching Console Application PDFTeXify ...
Command Line: texify.exe --pdf "C:\NicholasDataTransfer\MyDocuments\MyDocuments2\PSUREU\LaTeXforREUhelpfile.tex"
Startup Folder: C:\NicholasDataTransfer\MyDocuments\MyDocuments2\PSUREU
The system cannot find the file specified.
I thought that this meant that I just needed to move my files around to the proper folders, but even after copying and pasting all of my information into the same folder, it yields the same error. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Compiling Error
To me it seems that you have forgotten to install a LaTeX system. Please let us know what you have done so far.

Re: Compiling Error
I just figured out the problem today. I had installed LaTeX on my system last week, but apparently, before LaTeX could be installed, I was supposed to have some CTex software also. My office mate let me download his software on a flashdrive, and now the program works, so that's quite a relief. Thanks for the reply.
