LyX ⇒ problem with graphics

all my graphics in the document are eps and tif. i'm using the same formats in other document with no problem. but in this document, i receive and error during the latex run: "No information for converting file format to png. define a converter in the preferences" and "file does not exist: document and seting/.../filemane_.pdf" (where filename equal to my file name). the latex does not generate any DVI or pdf file.

what is the problem, and how should I solve it?

Hi amitk,

try latex instead of pdflatex. With TeXnicCenter try the profile LaTeX => PS => PDF or pdfTeXify with WinEdt.

Resaving the images in PNG format solved the problem. I used IrfanView.
