LyX ⇒ Layout on PDF page

Hallo,

I'm writing my thesis in lyx, its the first time that I use it.
I'm using the 'book' style but had some recommendations from my professor. One of them is that the chapter name on the top of every page is to big. I searched in the source-code of the book style, but its a bit to difficult for my.
Is there somebody that knows how that I can get a smaller font for this (and a line underneath from the left side of the page to the right side)

Or is there somebody that has a good style file for a thesis (or PhD, ...)
