General ⇒ color footer per chapter

Hi,

I would like to find a way of making a band of colour across the footer of my document. I'd like to be able to change the colour on a per chapter basis. Any idea how I might do that?

Hi Jason,

you could use Tikz for that purpose. Perhaps have a look at the example code in comment 11 here: Fancy chapter headings with TikZ. You could change that to get a colored footer instead of the header.
