Landscape-Portrait Switch

Hello,

I have a wide table that has to be placed horizontally. It fits the whole page (a4)
How do I switch from Portrait to Landscape within a document, using the geometry package?

No doubt the question has already been asked...

That's true. And the search function of the forum would have yielded a mass of useful hits. Include the rotating package and use the sidewaystable environment to place the table in landscape format and without any other text on its own page.
