Graphics, Figures & Tables ⇒ overpic in subfig

Hi,

I would like to use the overpic package in a subfig environment. While I understand how the grid is placed on top of the figure for a single image, when I am trying to superpose a grid within the subfig environment, I am not getting any sensible result. Is it possible at all to use overpic for subfloats? I.e. create grids for the separate figures, or for all of them together?
Any help would be appreciated greatly.
