I wrote that list in 2008, so some links changed, some moved. I corrected the links. If you could not open some tutorials, you can try again. I added LearnLaTeX.org, it's pretty modern and I can recommend it.
Since LaTeX exists since so many years, the beginner's steps are still pretty similar. The things that changed much are more advanced topics, such as generating graphics, modern bibliographies, extended programming, and more.
I wrote a LaTeX Beginner's Guide, if you are interested, with the second edition in 2021, and a LaTeX Cookbook with the second edition in 2024.
