General ⇒ How to use glossaries

I have a glossary with "3 levels" ie. (a) a word, (b) a single or 2 letter short-form and (3) a long description.

I want to have a latex doc with the first use of the word
- highlighted/linked to glossary
- the bottom of the para (right aligned) I want the character right aligned for easy reference

I dont know if glossaries is the suitable package for this...
And if so can I have a sample of use?
Or at least just the main commands to study

... The glossaries manual(s) are really monumental!! ..
