Typo3 vs PDF with embeded subset fonts

Post by Wassif »

Hello,

I'm new here and I don't know english very well and not at all LaTeX nor Linux.
So I'm sorry if I can be misunderstood, but please bear with me, we need help for our students.

Actually we are techs helping students in other disciplines with Word (O365), but some of them are in scientific fields and uses LaTeX for their documentations.

So before they submit their final project, they have to convert them into PDF.
They are suposed to use this method (sorry it is in french) https://bib.umontreal.ca/gerer-diffuser ... -pdf-latex and some of their documents have Typo 3 fonts and they do not embed properly when converted into PDF.

So my questions are :
1 - Is there a way to avoid using Typo 3 fonts?
2 - If not, is there a way to convert the Typo3 fonts into Typo2 fonts?
3 - If not for all of the above, is there a way to convert the Typo 3 fonts into PDF in order to have them embeded?

Thank you for your time and help
Wassif
