Hello,
I've been using LaTeX since 2001, mostly on Windows, with MiKTeX (I have really old version), writing math papers. I'm using PSTricks for all the basic graphics, charts, whatever I can create without resorting to some external graphic package (e.g., gnuplot). I create files with Emacs/Auctex. I just ran into this site by accident (was searching for information whether I should migrate to TexLive or stay with MikTeX). I hope to learn something here and may be when I have a chance, share my experience as well.
Happy holidays.

Re: Hello!
Hi PPJ,
welcome to the board!
MiKTeX is a very good distribution. One very good feature is it's package management, that MiKTeX has been providing since years. The most recent version TeX Live 2008 came with a new package manager.
I'm even using the MiKTeX package manager together with TeX Live on Linux.

Hello!
Thanks, I have a few questions about the newest MikTeX (the one with pdfTex), but I guess posting the questions on MikTeX forum (rather than here) would be more appropriate.Stefan_K wrote:Hi PPJ,
