Graphics, Figures & Tables ⇒ elsarticle + pdflscape + longtable

Hi latex community,
I am using the elsarticle class for formatting my paper.
The use of pdflscape with longtable causes a whitespace (page break) immediately when i put the landscape.
The afterpage solution does not work!!!
Pease help me!

Can you show the code example where that issue happens? Compilable is the best, so we can test and fix it (minimal working example). Otherwise it's a bit theoretical, we don't see what you do and we cannot give code that fixes something.

The afterpage solution does not work

How is this solution and what means it doesn't work? Not compilable, error, still a page break, how's the code?
