roleplaying book template

Post by quelsec »

Hello everyone

Im new here therefore im sorry if i picked the wrong subforum.

Im in the proces of making a rpg rulebook as a present. Im afraid im too inexperienced with Latex to make my own form scratch. I also was not able to find any suitable template (overleaf dnd template was close but not quite right).
What i need in the template:
- watermark page for visual estetics (preferably the ability to ad a different one to each page)
- the ability to add images. Full page and ind boxes
-the ability to ad trivia boxes
- the ability to make tables
Does any one know a template that would fit the descryption or help in any other way? Thanks in advance

You should read a introduction to LaTeX. Things like adding images and tables are basics. You can even find several examples in the graphics, figures & tables forum. There are also packages for watermarks or background images. e.g., eso-pic, scrlayer, watermark etc.

Please always try to ask a concrete question for a concrete problem (and always add a suitable Infominimal working example) in the corresponding forum. Avoid all in one questions.

If you set the idea and purpose you can create a template yourself, for this you may use ready-made programs designers. Perhaps this`s certainly not a task for everyone, but I made a template for the booklet this way. The problem with this option - it seemed to me all the time that I didn`t finish something and I remade it several times=) So if you don`t want to bother as I did, better get ready-made. Maybe book template for google docs will suit you. I think they meet the requirements that you listed, once I used them in my work - all very simple.
