Random bibliography shows up instead of the one I made

Post by parasio »

Hi I have been trying to make my bibliography work for 3 days.

Today I created a very simple file just to test the bib file. It worked two times but with a few errors dealing with umlauts.

On the third time I ran it my bibliography didn't show up, instead I got a randow bibliography with 6 articles about latex and computers which I believe must be built in the system.

I've been trying to make my bibliography show up, but I keep getting this weird stuff.

Can anybody help me? I am using Texniccenter and I my knowledge of latex is user level.

Regards

Daniel

Sorry, but your problem is not reproducible. So without a Infominimal working example I can only gamble. Maybe the bibtex run failed (with error) and TeX loaded another bib-file with the same name located somewhere else in your TEXMF tree.

BTW: The current release of TeXnicCenter is quite old. The program seems to be without support for several years. I would suggest to use an up-to-date LaTeX editor, e.g., TeXworks (part of MiKTeX or the Windows release of TeX-Live), TeXmaker, TeXstudio, VSCode + LaTeX Workshop, emacs + aucTeX …
Sorry, but I can no longer participate here as the administrator is trampling on my wishes on one of his other platforms.
