Reference using bibtex looks strange

Post by kallsbo »

HI I'm trying to get my references working using the .bib file. I'm by no means an expert and can't understand why it doesn''t work. It seems to be something with the url. The title is also missing the -

It looks real strange https://gyazo.com/9069cf76951770ade54bef7815cceb17

The text in the .bib file
@manual{Contrast,
title = "It's Not Just Black and White Understanding the Importance of Contrast in Graphic Design",
author = "Pluralsight",
note = "https://www.pluralsight.com/blog/creative-professional/just-black-white-using-contrast-get-attention-graphic-designs",
year = "2014 (accessed August 4, 2020)"
}

And in the mainfile I have

\bibliographystyle{plain}
\bibliography{references.bib}

Any help is much appreciated

Could you please provide a Infominimal working example?
When I expand your snippets to one, I don't see what you see...

There's no `-' in the title of your posted bib entry, either.
Or which `-' do you mean?
