LyX ⇒ Nesting Lyx Documents

Hello All,

I am writing my thesis in Lyx ( new to Lyx). I have written the sections as a separate lyx files and plan to nest those for the full paper. Each section has lot of tables for which I have used "include" to incorporate the tables in the sections.

My questions are:
1.I plan to nest the separate files into single document for the paper just by following the instructions of lyx and do the same to put the other parts of the dissertation ( Bibliography, Table of Contents etc) as well. Will this approach work as opposed to follow a program code to nest and create different parts? ( I am not program code savvy)
2. If I change from "include to "input" will the nesting go through ok?
