exam paper geometry and font .

would you recommend a specific font (size, type) and page margin for exam paper (usually big exam 2 pages at least)? I am new to LaTeX but LOVING it . I particularly write Math as well as Chemistry exam and exercises for junior classes . Perhaps modifying exam class font and margin might be an idea ?? please help.
