What documentclass for PhDs ?

Hello,
What would be the document class suited for PhDs, maybe report or memoir ?

Both will be fine for a PhD. You might also want to take a look at book or the KOMA-script equivalens.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

Yes, I think scrreprt would be my preferred choice of KOMA-Script.
