Theses, Books, Title pages ⇒ How to remove header and footer on the title page in masters-doctoral-thesis template?

I am using the masters-doctoral-thesis templete which I downloaded from here: https://www.latextemplates.com/template ... ral-thesis.

My issue is that I need the title page without any header or footer. I tried using the command \thispagestyle{empty} but nothing happens. I guess that something inside de .cls file is preventing me from removing the header and footer.

Then, is it possible to get rid of them?

Well, honestly, there isn't a header or footer on the title page.
Please post a minimal working example to reproduce your problem.
