Missing the "go to source" and having a .gz(buzy) problem

Post by Ali Sultan »

I am using texstudio with miktex 2.9. Recently I noticed that whenever I compile a document, there is a file of the extension .gz(buzy) is created inside the main folder and the compilation fails without the ability to delete this file and re-compile. Also, from time to time I am missing the "go to source" in the pdf viewer! Any ideas please about what is going on or how to fix this annoying issue? BTW, I uninstalled and then re-installed both MiKteX 2.9 and texstudio trying to get the error fixed but without success. Thanks.

Hi Ali,

were you able to solve the problem?

You could try another editor just to ensure that it's not the document itself, that doesn't compile and keeps the file busy. For example, the TeXworks editor, it should be included in MiKTeX.
