Break Processing?

Post by jeffack »

I had a document get stuck while processing. When I tried to close the document, it wouldn't let me. Is there a way to break the processing (e.g. like Ctrl-Break in MATLAB) of a document? It seems like there should be a better way than closing the program in the task manager.

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

And: Currently, Packt sells ebooks for $4.99 each if you buy 5 of their over 1000 ebooks. If you choose only a single one, $9.99. Hm, i honestly don't know, i am not a LyX user.

Calling latex from a command line always gives you access to communication with the interpreter. You can stop at any point and abort at any point.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

After 3 minutes, a popup asks you if you would like to cancel the export. Unfortunately there is not a better way yet, but hopefully we'll let the user cancel it whenever they choose. You can follow here:
