Hello and help!

Post by JaneWaite »

OK so I have no idea how on earth I use Miktex to create a paper for an ACM conference. I have installed MikTex and can create a pdf that says Hello World. But where do I put the acmsiggrapg files http://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template for MikTex to pick them up. I don't know what to do, or where to look. Anyhelp to a newbie would be welcome.

I get this.... when I try and sync the mikex package manager

Code: Select all

Uh, permission issues... I know that happens with MiKTeX, and solutions maybe either installing and extending MiKTeX only as user, or doing the same but both as administrator. I prefer to install TeX Live though.
