using a new template in TexLive 2013

Post by adambarfi »

Hi everybody,

I've recently downloaded a thesis template and since I'm a beginner, I don't know how to use it.
Is anybody here who can help me adding that template to texlive 2013? I'm using Windows 10.

Cheers,
Mostafa

Solved!

I copied the sty and cls files into "F:\texlive\2013\texmf-dist\tex\latex" and then I ran the 'mktexlsr' in TeX Live command line.

Hi,

welcome to the forum!

Thanks for telling us the solution. If you would tell name and source of the specific template, maybe we can provide further helpful information.

Btw. TeX Live 2016 is already released. I would not update to risk things breaking if there's a short time to finish the thesis, but on the long sight I would go to TeX Live 2016.
