LyX thesis template missing

Hey everyone,

I’m new here and I got one simple question.
I want to write my bachelor thesis with LyX. I installed LyX 2.1.4 and I cant find the bachelor thesis template. I looked at wiki.lyx.org and found that:

LyX's thesis template
Since version 2.0 LyX comes with a thesis template. You find it in LyX's installation folder in the subfolder templates\thesis.

But for me it is simply not there. I even reinstalled and still it is not there.
What do I do to get it?

For me (I'm on Ubuntu), if in 2.1.4 I go to File > Open > Examples there is a folder called "thesis". For you also? If not, try searching your filesystem for thesis.lyx

Well, actually it's our fault. It was in the templates folder before but because of the open bug at http://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/8643 it was moved to be an example. After that bug is solved we will move it back to a template.

Which wiki page did you see this on? Can you please change it accordingly (just click edit and follow the instructions). Also let me know which page it is so we can reference it in #8643 so that when that bug is fixed we change it back to avoid further confusion.

I just edited it to Resources\examples\thesis.
Someone has to change it back when you fixed the bug
