Text Formatting ⇒ \fbox down to end of page?

Hello

I want to draw an empty box that goes down to the end of the page. I tried

\fbox{\begin{minipage}{\textwidth}\hfill\vspace{5cm}\end{minipage}}

which gives me a 5cm high box, for example. Does someone know what code to enter instead so that the box automatically goes down until the end of the page? Thanks for any ideas.

Have you tried \vspace*{\fill}?
